KUNDALINI MEDITATIONS THE MASTERY SERIES #1

KUNDALINI MEDITATIONS
THE MASTERY SERIES
Course #1

Meditation #1 Gathering the Forces of Mastery from the Mystery…

Sitting in easy pose with the hands in gian mudra chant for 11 minutes

MANTRA: EK ONG KAR - SAT NAM SIRI - WAHE GURU

(AUDIO TRACK ON GURU SINGH'S PODCAST)

In all of these meditations there will be a sensation of centeredness taking place. This is due to the effects of mantric sound, disciplined breathing and mudra on the vestibular and limbic systems of the brain. Be aware of these sensations and allow them to flourish as the meditations grow ever more effective with each repetition.

After
11 minutes of meditation, open your eyes - stretch and FLASH JOURNAL for 3 minutes.

Meditation #2 Gathering the Forces of Inspiration & Enthusiasm…

Sitting in easy pose with the hands in the mudra shown here, chant for 11 minutes. With each repetition of Har pull the navel point in and up.

MANTRA: HAR HAR HAR HAR HAR HAR - HAREE

(AUDIO TRACK ON GURU SINGH'S PODCAST)

MUDRA: The first and second finger are Jupiter and Saturn - together they govern how we learn our lessons in a balanced way (challenge and reward). The ring and little fingers are Sun and Mercury - together they govern how we live our physical and mental lives (serving each other equally).

After 11 minutes of meditation, open your eyes - stretch and FLASH JOURNAL for 3 minutes.

Meditation #3 Structuring the Neurology to Perfect the Mastery…

LISTEN TO THE MANTRA: RA MA DA SA SA SAY SO HUNG - WAHE GURU

(AUDIO TRACK ON GURU SINGH'S PODCAST)

Sitting in easy pose with the hands in the Gian Lotus mudra shown here, silently breathe as follows - inhale in 8 smaller strokes while hearing and counting with ra ma da sa sa say so hung - exhale one stroke with hearing wahe guru…continue for 11 minutes.

MUDRA: The hands were formed in the brain while we were embryos and their positions (mudras) continue to affect the brain function (especially the vestibular and limbic systems) throughout our lives. This meditation is also a perfect example of how the rhythm and attitude of breathing controls the synchronicity and stability of the brain function.

After 11 minutes of meditation, open your eyes - stretch and FLASH JOURNAL for 3 minutes.

FLASH JOURNALING - A JOURNEY

Excerpts from a manual by Gurucharn Singh Khalsa PhD

Yogi Bhajan often asked students to write in a self-reflective manner - to journal experiences past or present. Journaling is one process that let's each of us deepen our learning so that we can apply it to our life and gain mastery and wisdom. These are the kinds of questions to ask and write about: What have I intuited? - How can I apply this to life? - How does my meditative experience affect others?

STYLE OF JOURNALING
For this process we will journal in what is called FLASH JOURNALING. We simply pick up our paper and pen and write straight from the un-thinking, non-analytical consciousness. Describe the flash frames you experienced - like a dream - in the meditation without the need for the intellect to intervene.

GOALS OF JOURNALING
Increase your capacity to step back from the flow of thoughts and feelings to establish a perspective on yourself through the intuitive consciousness. Strengthen the habit to process your life with intuitive insight as you recognize your blocks and potentials that care for and cultivate the Higher Self of Mastery.

HOW TO USE THE JOURNAL
Doing this journal is a "realtime" process…you are affected by it as you do it. It is also a reflective process that invites occasional review. Look back over your insights and gauge how you have progressed by taking these insights into your daily life.

SHARING THE JOURNAL
Your journal can also be used for sharing. Sharing can be as simple as extracting insights, events or issues from your notes and engaging a co-student in dialogue so both of you gain from the experience. Create study groups and take time to periodically talk amongst yourselves about your observations, levels of change you have been able to crystallize, and problem solving techniques that arise from your journaling. You could also decide as a group to engage in a meditation process together to support the development of these core capacities of mastery.

Great to see you addressing Mastery as a concept and goal. I can't imagine any other goal worth pursuing.

Ek Ong Kaar music is awesome too - especially that twangy bass instrument.

Is/was there a lecture associated with this first course? Might it be available sometime?
