Working in these challenging times builds up a great deal of emotional and mental "noise" . . . this is a weakening process that robs us of our innate power. One way to respond to this and create a graceful state of the quiet mind—a mind that can think and create solutions—is the posture shown here.
Extend the arms up at 60 degrees so that the ongoing flow of pranic energy goes straight down the arms into the heart center. Bring the finger tips into the pads of the hands and pull the thumbs back like a hitch-hiker with a strong firm force.
Breathe with a breath of fire . . . pumping the belly in on the exhale and out on the inhale. Keep a steady rhythm of breath at about 120 per minute . . . in other words, the count of ONE ONE THOUSAND would be equal to two of these pumping breaths.
