Dear Ones . . . Sat Nam,             OUR FATHER'S PEN & INK ART WHEN HE WAS 19 in 1920

There is a profound sacredness to the number 108. This is known to all of us on the path of Spirit. Every full prayer mala has 108 beads for the full impact of our prayers and meditations.

The father in each of our lives is a teacher who teaches us to be in the world. The quality of this father child relationship will establish the quality of  your relationship with all of the world outside your home. The mother is the world inside the home. Many people, who were challenged in this relationship, have used a different person to pose for this role model of the father hero. This is absolutely fine . . . we all have a path.

My sister and I were fortunate to have a father who was a bit eccentric . . . an artist of profound talent and a yogi in his own right — whose meditations were in the gardens of our home. This is the man who taught me, "Always talk to strangers and you will discover that none of them are as strange as you are."

This is a man who today would be 108 years old on both the Easter of the Christians and the Bhaisaki of the Sikhs. Happy Birthday Dad . . . James Herbert Pond - born April 12, 1901.
