INSPIRATIONAL BLESSINGS - Today is the Full Moon - Time to Celebrate Life

T
he human hand was formed from the human brain during the embryonic phase of development. There are four celestial bodies (Sun, Jupiter, Saturn, and Mercury) energetically associated with the hand through each of the four fingers. These — through the nerves — connect the celestial energies to four corresponding portions of the brain. A constant conversation takes place between each celestial body and the human body/brain and can be further controlled through posturing the fingers — known as mudras.

When you are aware of these conversations you benefit from their information — it is a higher intelligence. When you are not aware of this, or do not relate to this; it takes place anyway, you simply do no benefit.

The thumb opposes all of these fingers giving us our unique human ability to master grip, capture and use friction, survive the tension, and pressure it into chosen purposes. Your thumbs are born out of the occipital region at the brain stem. This is where your instinctual nature — the entity of survival — is controlled. All of the associations of this instinctual primary presence, known as ego . . . becomes our purpose and intent. The entity of ego is also called the 'id' by psychology . . . it is therefore the id-entity.  This was the origin of the word identity (entity of purpose, or ego).

The ego is instinctual and therefore extremely powerful. Ego is not a bad thing — it is just a thing. It is the thing that creates our separateness . . . and it does this out of instinctual protectiveness. It creates our individuation beginning at about 18 months of age. Whatever you put into this ego, you will receive back . . . 'bad' input will equal 'bad' coming back out - 'good' input will equal 'good' coming out. Ego has gotten a bad reputation because of all the survival nature of life, but it is not bad — it is up to you. Ego is a power tool and it will represent whatever you feed it with. Ego is what ego does.

The pinky/little finger is associated with the planet Mercury, which is the planet ruling all communication. This finger was born out of the frontal lobe of the brain, the area known to drive our higher reasoning.

The ring finger is associated with the Sun, which is the source of light, ruler of the heart and provider of physical wellbeing. This finger was born out of the connection between the frontal lobe (higher reasoning) and the parietal lobe (associative reasoning).

The middle finger is associated with the planet Saturn, which represents lessons to be learned through situations of great difficulty. These are the lessons to be learned after dealing with the kind of challenges that ultimately reveal a greater light. This greater light is only revealed however, when you avoid the temptation of blaming . . . interesting that this finger is used as a gesture of blame. This finger was born out of the temporal lobe on the side of the brain.

The first finger is the one associated with the planet Jupiter, which represents the lessons that are to be learned with great joy. Jupiter is also known as the Jovian planet — hence origin of the word jovial . . . joyful.

The hands give you the ability to either express yourself and your projection from the highest, most creative portions of the brain — or to demonstrate the lowest nature of your survival instincts and their relentless demands. In other words, at the extremes, your hands have the task of expressing life as mastery or the thief.

In yoga we learn the masterful language of the hands known as mudras. My wife and I have participated in medical studies of these mudras done at university hospitals using MRI machines. The resulting images display an outstanding revelation — the power of the hand to influence the activity in the brain is unmistakable.

Learn to relate to your human body as an instrument of worship, not a work machine. Learn the subtleties in the language of the mudras and the power in these hands. Relate to your life in this body as its highest purpose - learn the instrumental reasons. Become who you are destined to be with the human tools you have been gifted to worship with. Become the human being — being humane.

These Inspirational Blessings are like mantras . . . reminders that cause us to think at a new angle . . . to shake up old patterns . . . to renew and rebuild our vision and purpose. We then gain insight to ignite and inspire an opening to manifest our conscious focus through conscious action. Find Guru Singh's music HERE and his new book HERE.
